Wenn man einmal was gehört hat, spielt das Programm danach i.A. sehr zuverlässig. // ==================================================================== //#h1#title Booking #hr // =============================================================== #p #label txt_en #image #file gb.png #width 32 #alt English translation starts here // ==================================================================== // ==================================================================== #h1#title Context #p#lang en The most important of my current software projects are the bigger ones, done together with my colleague #link 0/www.bayceer.uni-bayreuth.de/mod/de/mitarbeiter/mit/mitarbeiter_detail.php?id_obj=59348 #top #text#pers Baltasar Trancón y Widemann #/link #p#lang en First of all there is of course the #bold famous BandM meta_tools#/bold, a tool kit for compiler construction (in the widest sense !-) and meta programming, i.e. generating program source texts. This is a project has #link 0/bandm.eu:/metatools/docs/usage/index.html #text its own website. #/link #p This includes few interesting applications, for down-loading, studying, installing and using, please cf. #link 0/bandm.eu:/metatools/docs/usage/getit.html #top #text /getit.html #/link. #p#lang en Then there is a major application of meta_tools related to #bold!MUSIC!. To be more precise, this project is two-fold, one part dealing with sound processing, the other with score and notation, and both shall co-operate in near future (NEAR !-) #nl Perhaps together with my "MWatch" it will also be suited for reactive computer improvisation. #nl More info is about to come as soon as we have something for you to play with. #p#lang en Meanwhile you find some info in my #link textPublications.html #text list of publications#/link. // ==================================================================== #h1#title The Gong Machine #label txt_gongmachine_en #p#lang en A stand alone product (and an application of a very small subset of meta_tools) is #bold The Gong Machine#/bold. It had been developed together with #link 0/www.notensatz-kroemann.de #text Mathias Krömann#/link. #p#lang en It is a computer application for one-person #bold meditation session#/bold. The application plays a gong signal which can be used to measure the time for meditation, or to separate the different phases in case of structured practices, like "pranayama" or "metta bhavana". #p#lang en You can select #list #i the sound which is played for the gong signal, #i the number phases, #i the duration of the phases, #i a preparation time before the first gong signal. #/list #p#lang en The Gong Machine is distributed as a java application. When you "click on" the jnlp file, the application will be installed on your computer, and normally icons on the desktop and in the "programs" menu will be installed, depending on your operating system and your decisions. #nl Then, the program can be run, also off-line, by clicking on such an icon. #nl Of course, if you are a shell freak, you can also execute the program explicity by #source javaws #/source #p#lang en The link to click (or to start explicitly or to download explicitly, after reading the jnlp file !-) is #link 0/bandm.eu/downloads/gongmachine/gongmachine.jnlp #p#lang en #bold This program can be used for free. We do not guaratee that it is fitted for any special purpose. #/bold #p#lang en Of course we also cannot take any guarantee for a software "pretending" to be our gong machine, which you received from a different source. But from the URL given above, it is pretty safe. // cf metatools/doc/usage/Makefile goal "paisley-download.html" #nl But if you're in doubt: #nl The "md5" checksum for the jar file "gongmachine.jar" must be #treeInclude file:../../projekte2010/src/eu/bandm/gongmachine/gongmachine_jar_md5 #path .#/treeInclude #p#lang en #bold Please note#/bold that it may take more than one attempt to get the program started, esp. with a "windows" operating system, due to the awkward architecture of the sound infrastructure, and possibly due to virus protection software. #nl Try the "test" button, until playing the sound file once, for test purpose, works. After the first gong, the programm usually works fine! #p#lang en I am very grateful for any response. #eof
