I didn't want to fly but really to experience the distance. The German word is "er-fahren", which implies "driving", so I took the train. The ICE went to Hamburg, and then via ferry from Fehmarn to Denmark, and then, hopping from island to island, finally to Kopenhagen. This is the so called "Vogel-Flug-Linie", which means "the line of the birds' flight".
But first to Hamburg, -- the stop was very short, so I could take only a few pictures through the window:

This part of Denmark is not too pretty, but the interface with the sea is always very exciting and sometimes creates lovely views:

We did not stop long in Copenhagen, so I only visited the railway station. It is exactly as I expect Scandinavia to be: Everything made of wood, and a little bit eclectic:

This gigantic round building on the right is private property and occupies the HIGHEST POINT in the old city center! (Since this is Sweden and not GB, these are probably social houses !-) You can enter the inner circle, which tries to be a small park, but of course without any far view ...

The SECOND of the hills I climbed that day: A small piece of fortification which has survived, the "Skansen Kronan", -- whatever this may be !?!?

Behind this house, the "Annedalsskolan", the map promises a hill on its own, "Nilssonberg", but I didn't find a "mountain", not even the slightest elevation !?!?

So I hurried on, approaching a REAL hill, the tower on the top is the target: ((It seems to be a water tower, as I found out later.)) Here is a real small paradise!

The houses farther above are newer, but the surroundings still lovely. Left hand I found a big rock I decided to climb. It turned out that it would have been rather dangerous to climb it DOWN again, but this wasn't necessary, the path led to the tower, and the tower had a comfortable access from the other side (see map!-)
