If you dare to travel down to the very South of Berlin, your first will reach Grünau, then Schmöckwitz, then you enter Brandeburg and come to Zeuthen and Wildau.
Zeuthen was a bit disappointing, you hardly get to the water, it's all private. There is a very nice promenade of about 120 meters ! The river is the Dahme.

The other side is surprisingly still Berlin, the very very South, a nowhere land called Rauchfangswerder. (There's one road in and no one out !-)

This is one of the premises of Mr Dussmann. He is incredibly rich. But he is dead. (We are poor and alive!-)

Two kilometers farther south (if you dare to!) there's Wildau. The wilderness is really charming: a former swamp called Rohrwiesen and Krugstelle. It's still not crossable, but it's nice walking round, clockwise, in a rectangular way: first southward at the water side, then follow the Autobahn to the West, than back along village road, -- all parts have there own merits:

In Wildau, for over hundred years existed a famous locomotive and machine factory.
The Schwartzkopff-Siedlung
is the settlement built for the workers,
very impressive and really worth the ride!
It's totally under heritage protection.
So are many of the old factory buildings. Some of them the
Technische Hochschule Wildau
(Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau) has moved in.
